A note of Clarity

A note of Clarity

Dear YOUvA Readers,

As you have probably noticed, our website has been inactive for a long time now.

After internal reshuffling of the board, YOUvA Today found itself on new, slightly shaky, ground. Starting a news outlet has many challenges and takes an enormous time commitment, which only sometimes matches with busy, fast-moving lives. In this case, it didn’t.

All three co-founders, including myself, are no longer students and we have always said that YOUvA should be run by and for students, not people who have no connection with the University anymore.

While I still believe in that principle, it also pains me to conclude that this means YOUvA Today will no longer be active.

I am proud of all the work we have produced and want to thank all the YOUvA staff from the bottom of my heart. The website will be up for a little while longer, so if you want to save any articles you have written, please do so.

Although this note seems a definitive end of YOUvA Today, my optimism is relentless. Accordingly, I want to also treat this as an opportunity to call any ambitious student who wants to lead a newsroom to reach out! While no longer a student, I am happy to guide any future YOUvA editor-in-chief in the process and keep our platform alive.

Please don’t be a stranger, DM’s are always open.

Lots of love,

Babette (former editor-in-chief and co-founder)
