Today the UvA announced that Karen Maex is going to step down as the Rector Magnificus of the UvA. After nine years of employment with the UvA, she is going to leave office over the course of the summer.

“The politicians are not going to do it for us, we need to do it!” is ASVA’s Job Vermaas’ call to action for all students. Last Thursday, the Amsterdam student union ASVA put their money where their mouth is and organised a protest against the mounting student housing crisis.
The Struggle for Fair Grading
Without anonymous grading, we simply can’t expect to receive fair grades, according to political science student Euclid Dochery. He started an initiative to get the political science department of the UvA to recognize this, but is yet to find success.
