After a little Twitter dispute, the idea for a student newspaper first started brewing around February 2021. However, it took a few more months, and an entire thesis later, to commit to the idea. At this time, I was still working at a student radio with Arthur and Audrey, who turned out to be the co-founders of the newspaper you are reading right now.

On the 25th of June CREA’s orchestra ended their tour in the Dominicuskerk. They played six overtures by Dvořák, Wagner, Wagenaar. And their performance ended with Gershwin’s Cuban Overture, resulting in a swinging party filled with happy faces.
Ready for some tunes? CREA sure was! After our dear friend COVID-19 once again ruined the last band evening, on the 17th of June it was finally possible for all bands stemming out of the CREA ‘pop course’ to perform… and perform they did!

Student and director Kelly Heijmans was wondering this exact thing. As a result, the play Hoe Gaat Het? (How are you) was created and performed by the Student Association for Theatre (STA).
For those who don’t know, the Dominicuskerk is a beautiful church in Amsterdam. It was also the venue for the CREA-orchestra concert on the 26th of March. With the church filled up entirely with people, the orchestra was eager to play their three pieces last Saturday.
