After the sharp fall during the 2017 national elections and the mediocre result during the 2021 national elections, the PvdA (the Labour Party) has been trying to get itself together again. The upcoming municipal elections will show if these efforts will prove to be successful. To gain a better insight into the PvdA, I interview Bowien Wegman, who is the number 10 for PvdA Haarlem.

Voting with Volkers – Imran Cherradi Benssebahe: CDA’s new generation

A democratic crisis at the humanities council?

Voting with Volkers – Ian Hendriks: From entertainer to politician
Even though the Eurofederalist party Volt is a newcomer in Dutch politics, it has already been doing better than expected. To get a better idea of what this new party wants for Amsterdam, I interviewed Ian Hendriks, who is eighth on the list for Volt in Amsterdam.
Man Up!
A year ago, I discussed feminism with some friends. All of them were male, watched Ben Shapiro, and drank beer. Typical man stuff, right? That all changed when I took the course Feminist Theories.

Back to campus! It’s more complicated than that.
Most, if not all faculties have requested our return back to campus in the second semester for the face-to-face teaching we have lacked over the past two years. Whilst others rejoice over the opportunity to return to normality, for some the decision is not entirely suitable and comes with a few challenges.
